Edward Berghausen  Dr. Edward Berghausen


Dr. Berghausen is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery from the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

He finished his training in 1985 and has been practicing as an Orthopedic surgeon for over twenty-three years. Dr. Berghausen’s training was at the Harvard Surgical Service in Boston, Massachusetts for general surgery. His orthopedic training program was at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts and he completed a Fellowship in joint replacement surgery at the combined Harvard Surgical Service Program at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, finishing in 1985.

He then taught at the University of Louisville, where he was the Co-Director for the Center of Joint Replacement until 1992. Dr Berghausen then practiced in Cincinnati, Ohio where he was on the Volunteer Teaching Faculty for the University of Cincinnati as well as in private practice until he re-located to Tucson, Arizona in 2002.

Dr. Berghausen specializes in joint replacement surgery including revision joint replacement surgery and small incision joint replacement surgery of the shoulder, elbow, knee and hip. He has performed over 3,000 joint replacements during his professional career.

His professional practice is aimed at the management of complex injuries involving the shoulder, hip and knee for which he is an expert in arthroscopic surgery of these joints. He performs small incision surgery, as well as computer-assisted surgery on appropriate patients.

Mitch Duby  Mitch Duby


Mitch Duby has been a resident of Tucson for over 20 years. He graduated from the University of Arizona in 1985 with a bachelors in Exercise, Sports and Science. In 1987, he received a Masters in Education. He became a Certified Athletic Trainer in 1985 and pursued a 10 year career in sports medicine, working with high school, collegiate and professional athletes. He treated athletes at the University of Arizona, University of Kentucky Sports Medicine Center, Georgetown College, and Houston Astros minor league players. In 1995, he received a Bachelors in Science as a Physician Assistant from the University of Kentucky.

Over the last 10 years Mitch has worked as a Physician Assistant for two neurosurgical groups in Tucson. He now has devoted his passion towards orthopedics and sport medicine, and wishes to share his knowledge, experience, and commitment towards his patients.
